day 4: made to last forever
God has planted eternity in the human heart. Ecclesiastes 3:11(NTL)
C.S. lewis said, "There are two kinds of people: those who say to God 'Thy will be done' and those to whom God says, 'All right then, have it your way.'" Tragically, many people will have to endure eternity without God because they chose to live without hime here on earth.---> (i hope you're not one of these people.. but if you are.. it's alright, God seeks for sinners and will welcome them when they repent.)
When you fully comprehend that there is more to life than just here and now, and you realize that life is just preparation for eternity, you will begin to live differently. YOu will start living in light of eternity, and that will color how you handle every relationship, task, and circumstance. Suddenly many activities, goals, and even problems that seemed soo important will appear trivial, petty, and unworthy of your attention. The close you live to God, the smaller everthing else appears.
The most damaging aspect of contemporary living is shortterm thinking. To make the most of your life, you must keep the vision of eternity continually in your mind and the value of it in your heart. There's far more to life than just here and now! Today is the visible tip of the iceberg. Eternity is all the rest you don't see underneath the surface.

the benefits of purpose-driven living
Knowing your purpose gives meaning to your life
knowing your purpose simplifies your life
knowing your purpose motivates your life
knowing your purpose prepares your for eternity
Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope.
If you have felt hopeless, hold on!
Wonderful changes are going to happen in your life as you begin to live it on purpose. God says, "i know what i am planning for you... 'i have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.'" You may feel you are facing an impossible situation, but the Bible says, "God.. is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of -- infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes."
Many people spend their lives trying to create a lasting legacy on earth. They want to be remembered when they're gone. Yet, what ultimately matters most will not be what others say about your life but what God says.
Living to create an earthly legacy is a shortsighted goal. A wiser use of time is to build an eternal legacy. You weren't put on earth to be remembered. You were put here to prepare for eternity. --->> Purpose Driven LIfe Day 3

the bible says, "long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us on his mind, has settled on us as the focus of his love"

The Keys to Your Heart
|
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free. |
In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved. |
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change. |
You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance. |
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with. |
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment. |
You think of marriage pessimistically. You don't think happy marriages exist anymore. |
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. |
